Hebrew After School 101: Speaking for Absolute Beginners

This Hebrew After School 101 (HAS 101) course will help absolute beginners develop conversational Hebrew skills. 

HAS 101 is a 22-class course designed for children ages 8-14 who have little to no background in Hebrew. By the end of this course, students will be able to ask and answer questions about themselves and others; engage in everyday conversation about the calendar, weather, and routines; and use common Hebrew verbs to describe activities they do, like, and dislike. No Hebrew speaking or reading skills are expected or required.

Course Schedule: HAS 101 meets for 22 virtual sessions, twice a week over four months.

Technology: We will use Zoom and Canvas for our course. Zoom is a free online meeting platform, and Canvas is where students will access all of our online course materials. Students will receive an invitation to both Zoom and Canvas one week before class begins.

Materials: All materials will be provided, including a physical learning kit that will be mailed to students’ homes. All you need to provide them with is a quiet space to learn, and a laptop or computer to work on.

  • 8-13 days before the first day of class, you will receive a 50% refund.
  • within 7 days of the first day of class, you will not receive any refunds.
• Courses with less than 4 enrollments will be canceled, 5 days before the first day of class at the latest. If your course is cancelled, you will receive a 100% refund.
